Today’s Wordy Wednesday comes from me having Bali on my brain. I will be partaking in a Bali cooking class at Bumbu Bali and have decided today we will see what Bumbu means:
Bumbu is a designation of a spicy dish common to Indonesia. An example of a Bumbu as a blend of spices would include cinnamon, star anise, et cetera
Our teacher will be: Heinz von Holzen, author of five highly acclaimed cookbooks, (The Food of Bali, Bali Unveiled – The Secrets of Balinese Cuisine, Feast of Flavors from the Balinese Kitchen, Feast of Flavors from the Indonesian Kitchen, and the soon to be released Street Food in Bali) and the assistance of his talented Balinese Chef, and long time friend Pak Bagus.
I am very much looking forward to learning some secrets about Balinese cooking and implementing them at home!
